Gasifier work goes here. Honestly, I learned about gasifiers first on this site. I registered it as neat information and decided to build one of those cool camp stoves. After frying a couple of computer fans and runing a couple of paint cans, I decided to make something more robust to mimic the burn pot in a pellet stove. My motivation was for building a BBQ grill, and after seeing the 2 foot flames leaping out of the burn pot, I decided not to cook with it. (so much for low and slow, right ?)
In a short time, I have seen measurable results from my efforts in learning about and building the gasifier components. New stuff like use of air flow, manometers, thermocouples, lots of different pipe fittings, welding, metal fab work, application of geometry, physics, venturi design, cyclone separator, gasifier types, some chemistry, etc...
I figgured this may be an encouraging journey in the winter time, when water freezes, I can play with fire. There are videos of this work on my video page, or on TY - search for "hydro4f3a".

| Example of gasification... the metal is not burning, nor are the coals in the burn pot. The gas that comes off the wood pelets is burning when there is enough oxygen at the top of the burn pot. |
